Purchasing the individual constituents separately would be more expensive, and unless one uses the correct weight combinations of the right ingredients they would be ineffective.
- Can I take SomaSlim if I am allergic to whey?
As we do not know which particular ingredient of protein or milk protein the individual might be allergic to and the complementary amino acid isolate is whey derived, individuals who are known to have milk or whey protein allergies should not take this product.
- Are there any medical conditions or other products that may cause adverse reactions?
No, both of these products can be taken in conjunction with any other products and there are no known medical contraindications other than allergies to the specific constituents of the individual products.
- Are there any side effects to taking SomaSlim?
There should not be any noticeable side effects whatsoever when taking SomaSlim other than weight loss.
- Can I take SomaSlim if I am nursing or pregnant?
No, SomaSlim is not recommended if you are a pregnant woman or a nursing mother.
- Are there any recommended supplements I should be taking with SomaSlim?
Everyone should be taking vitamins and antioxidants such as SomaVit Plus and SomaLife Super X or SomaLife Super Xc. Individuals who wish to optimize their growth hormone release in the pituitary gland, and take advantage of the opportunities that this can offer for loss of abdominal fat with increased muscle mass, should take the SomaLife gHP product.
- When is the best time to take SomaSlim?
SomaSlim should be taken 15-30 minutes before eating.
- Why do I need to take it 15-30 minutes before my meals?
To allow time for absorption of the active ingredients and improve sense of having eaten sufficiently early on in the meal (called satiety) and thereby help in minimizing your calorie intake to what is required.
- How long should I take SomaSlim for before expecting results?
We recommend taking the product for at least 6 months to see optimal results and SomaTrim for maintenance thereafter. Please note that this will vary for each person and results can be extremely subtle depending on one's state of fitness so it is recommended that the health questionnaire be completed prior to beginning the product.
- Can I take other dietary supplements at the same time I take SomaSlim?
There are no contraindications to taking SomaSlim with any other dietary supplement.
- Why should the product be taken on an empty stomach?
This ensures rapid and complete absorption.
- Do I need to take SomaSlim with a full glass of water?
Yes, this helps with rapid absorption of the dietary supplement along with the other benefits of added fluid intake and hydration.
- Can I take SomaSlim with other beverages? (i.e., grapefruit juice)
It is preferable that you take it with water as nearly all the other beverages have a caloric value. Even grapefruit juice has a fairly substantial amount of sugar in it so water is the preferred source of fluids.
- How is SomaSlim different from other similar products?

- Why is it necessary to drink more water when taking the product?

- How do I know when I should stop taking SomaSlim for weight loss and begin taking SomaTrim to maintain my ideal weight?

- What is Body Mass Index?
Body Mass Index is measured in kilograms per square meter of body surface area. In the SomaSlim booklet it has been converted to a non-metric measure more familiar to North Americans, but essentially it's a relationship of your height to girth and weight expressed as a useful number from which risk of problems secondary to obesity and being overweight can be calculated.
- What is the shelf life of SomaSlim?
The product will last 4-7 years under ideal conditions, however Health Canada mandates that all nutraceuticals are assigned a shelf life of 3 years or less, regardless of their actual expiry date.
- Where is SomaSlim manufactured?
SomaSlim is manufactured in North America in GMP certified facilities.
- Why is SomaSlim not available in Canada?
SomaSlim is not available in Canada as L-Carnitine is a prescription drug in Canada. SomaSlim C is available in Canada as a substitute.
- Is there additional information available about the products?
There is a 22-page booklet entitled "The SomaSlim System" produced by SomaLife that is included with the first order of SomaSlim, SomaSlim C or SomaTrim.
- Should I consult my health care professional before starting SomaSlim?
Anyone who is overweight should have a health assessment prior to starting any weight loss program as being overweight itself can contribute to many problems, some of which may need to be addressed along with the weight loss.
