Shipping FAQ
- What are the standard shipping methods for Canadian orders?
Shipments are sent by Canada Post with an estimated delivery time of 3-9 business days. This varies depending on the final destination. ie shipments to the east coast will take longer than those destined to Vancouver. For an added cost, shipments can be sent via Canada Post XpressPost with a delivery time of 2-3 business days across Canada.
- What are the standard shipping methods for USA orders?
Shipments to the mainland USA are via UPS ground with an estimated delivery time of 3-7 business days. Hawaii, Alaska or US Territories are via USPS (United States Postal Service, Priority Mail). Alternate shipping methods are available at an added cost. Shipping times vary depending on the final destination.
- What are the estimated delivery times?
Canada: 3-9 business days; USA: 3-7 business days; Note delivery times do not include day of shipment. Orders are shipped within 1 business day of receipt.
- Will my order ship the day I place it?
Some orders may ship same day but normally orders ship next business day. Orders must be processed by 10:00 a.m. PST if you require same day shipment via an overnight or second day air courier service. SomaLife will make every effort to process your shipment to meet your time requirements but we make no guarantees.
- Can I use my PO Box address in the USA?
Yes, if you choose USPS (US Postal Service). Shipments via UPS cannot be delivered to a PO Box. You can also request that your product be shipped to a street address and your general correspondence (cheques) be mailed to your PO Box.
- Can I ship to a Military Base?
Yes, all shipments to Military Bases must be sent via postal service (USPS - Priority Mail in the USA; Canada Post Expedited Parcel in Canada)
- Why does the delivery person not leave my package?
All shipments are at the discretion of the delivery person as to whether they feel it is a "safe" drop location for your package. If they do not deem the area safe a card will be left with instructions on where to retrieve your package. You may also contact the shipping company and arrange an alternate delivery address but there may be a redirection fee charged to you for this. If you do not collect the package within the allotted time it will be returned to us.
- How are shipping charges calculated?
Shipping charges are calculated based on total weight of shipment, destination and method of shipment. Note: Freight charges do not increase incrementally as quantity increases.
- Do you ship internationally?
Only if it is a US territory (ie. Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam). We cannot legally conduct business in countries other than the USA, it's territories or Canada. Distributors can however, order product using their Customer's credit card and have the product shipped to the Distributor's USA or Canadian address for furtherance to their international customer. These orders are sent at the Distributor's risk and cost for furtherance to the international country
- What does the UPS 2-day air service mean?
For UPS, the 2 day air service refers to the transit business days of the order. It does not include weekends, holidays or the day your order is picked. ie. if you place an order on Monday, it will be picked Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday are considered the 2 days. You can expect delivery on Thursday or Friday
- Why is UPS not standard for Hawaii?
UPS is available for Hawaii orders but the cost and service UPS offers for Hawaii is not comparable with that of US Postal Service. UPS was chosen for mainland orders because we are able to obtain an overall lower rate with the ability to track orders and file claims for lost shipments.
- Where is my order being shipped from?
All order are shipped from our warehouses located in Washington state or BC
- What is the Redirection Fee?
UPS charges us a Redirection Fee if your delivery address is incorrect for any reason or you contact UPS and request your order be delivered to an alternate address. UPS will attempt to contact customers via phone to confirm the missing details or obtain a corrected address. If the incorrect address is not due to a company error we will recover these costs by processing a chargeback to our customer. This redirection fee is $7.50 USD. Note: It is our customer's responsibility to provide us written notice of address changes a minimum of 5 business days prior to AutoShip orders processing and to ensure that we have current and complete address information on file at all times.
- What should I do if I have not yet received my shipment?
Slight delays occur periodically and all delivery times are estimated. If you feel your shipment has been delayed unnecessarily please contact our Customer Service Department at 1-250-491-5090. They will trace the package for you and have it reshipped immediately if it appears to be lost.
